Kendal brand KahuBaby has won the Silver Award for travel products in the prestigious Nursery Online baby awards. The award is recognition for the innovative design and features of KahuBaby’s baby carrier. KahuBaby won silver against large well-known national brands in the travel category.

“This comes at the perfect time for us”, explains KahuBaby founder and director Carissa Lough. “Lockdown was a very difficult period for small businesses, and it’s really uplifting to win this award as restrictions are lifting”.

By sourcing materials locally and keeping production within Europe, KahuBaby has been able to stay open throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. “It has definitely highlighted the importance of having suppliers nearby”, says Carissa.

KahuBaby has recently launched a new range and is continuing to develop new designs and products. “We hope that families continue to support our Lake District brand so that we can keep investing in our local economy too”. Proving that baby carriers can look good and be practical, KahuBaby Carriers come in a choice of colours and prints. Several of these have been inspired by nature and the Lake District landscape.
