Lake District baby brand KahuBaby has been shortlisted for the national Junior Design Award for best baby carrier in 2021. Shortlisting recognises the innovative design that is a feature of the KahuBaby carrier.

‘After a challenging 16 months for small businesses, being shortlisted for the Junior Design Award reflects our commitment to high quality design, and to our product’, explains director Carissa Lough. ‘We use local fabrics and materials wherever possible, and work with other local businesses to have a final product that is very much part of the Lake District.

KahuBaby has just launched a new range of summer baby carriers. They’re also planning additional products to add to their offer. ‘The Junior Design Awards are open to international brands too, so being shortlisted in the baby carrier category really is an achievement’, says Carissa.

Several of KahuBaby’s designs and prints have been inspired by nature and the Lake District landscape.
