Babywearing Educators Share Latest Research and Ideas

Babywearing educators from around the United Kingdom are gathering on 11th May in Staveley for the first ever Slings and Things North West professional development event. With more and more parents wanting to use a sling or baby carrier, the day will be an opportunity for babywearing consultants and their colleagues to share latest research into babywearing. Participants will also learn more about running a successful babywearing business.

Trained baby carrying consultants from as far afield as Cambridge and Glasgow will be attending the 2019 event. Carissa Lough, from KahuBaby, says that “We have a wonderful network of online support in the babywearing industry, but we do all often work in isolation from each other. I’ve organised this event to enable professionals in the baby carrier industry to learn from some of the experts and to share our own knowledge to support each other”.

Talks from leading manufacturers, a training school, and academics are on the day’s timetable. If the event is successful, Carissa and KahuBaby will plan another for autumn 2019.

Babywearing dads can enjoy simple togetherness with KahuBaby too.
